Simple, not enough starts for Bath. Was used as an impact sub. Left rather than being tempted though.

Excellent signing, we have assembled the makings of a very good side. Hopefully pushing us towards a playoff place.

Read the Gloucester Chairman’s blog. They had to have no more than 33mm drop end to end.
3G/4G, Personally I hate the stuff, unnatural bounce and players don’t slide tackle.
I really hope we don’t go down that route, finances or not.
Gloucesters ground, although impressive will be soulless with 500-700 people in it. When building a new ground you now need a huge parameter area to allow a walkway around the ground.

I say credit to them, do you really think we would have managed to raise 30k ? Very difficult to call the winners for me.

The point being we don’t have too!!

Bath supporters have raised over £30k and the Premier League are giving £200,000 to the NL for the play offs. So Bath should easily cover their costs.

But it’s not just about covering your costs. Amazing that they raise that amount of money, but should they be asking them too?
Given that they are over £1million in debt, lost another £30k this season and if they go up, will have a budget that’s not competitive and probably lose even more money.
Many of their fans are not happy as the financial model is not sustainable without the ground development.

For those that dare to venture over to the Bath forum, it might be worth a read right now.
Big debate on whether they should or shouldn’t be participating in the playoffs, given their financial situation and they potential games may cost them an estimated £17-35k.
Fundraising measures starting now but whether they win or lose, it may hammer the budget for next year.
Can’t help thinking it’s only a matter of time!!

Am I the only one underwhelmed that Dave Pratt has signed on again? He will have needed to have shaken off the injury he appeared to be carrying all last season and got a lot fitter during lockdown if he isn't going to a bench-warner for us. Perhaps the break will have done him good - very willing to be proved wrong and to see him worrying defences again.

no, i was also surprised but equally miffed that MacDonald went, but thats football i guess. I would hope that Pratt has been offered a reduced deal given last season performances.

TBF he didn’t have much time to impress. Looked good against Wealdstone.
