I think the league will be looking at this issue before next season kicks off. Already they've shown they've got a bit of bite by declaring that two abandoned matches would not be replayed and the result at the time of abandonment stands. I suggest the rules being changed to something along the lines of postponed matches must be played within one month and if they aren't the away side is awarded a 3-0 win. That would stop fixture congestion in March/April and incentivise clubs to sort out their pitch issues.

Freddie probably wishes he hadn't greased his wallet up this morning as now it's not going to get the use to justify the labour ;)

Flashscore says it's off, just had the notification and it's usually very accurate.

That explains the sudden exodus of players then.

They've got some cheek to be moaning about our ground. At Twerton Park there are bits of metal sticking up from the concrete and a lack of crush barriers. Then there's the toilets....

I didn't expect him to reply but now you now why he doesn't post much on here these days. It wasn't my place to reveal that information.

There's a reason he doesn't post on here anymore and those that know who he really is know exactly what that reason is.

No, it's got a wall on one side which simulates the conditions at the ground. As you say, it'll depend on the ref and the key factor is whether the temperature rises enough to thaw the part of the pitch that the sunshine won't get to.

With the sun being out the pitch should thaw before 1500. Half of my garden has already.

That first half performance was woeful except for the first 5 minutes. We were outplayed for well over half an hour and even in the second half we kept making silly mistakes that could have cost us dear. At some point that goal kick malarkey is going to have to be scrapped. We're just not good enough to play out from the back. The pass from one of the two goalkeeper's assistants either happens too early and doesn't draw the opposition player in to a position we can benefit from or far too late causing the opposition to be on us from our own goal kick. Just kick it up field and let the midfield do their job. That being winning the ball and getting it to someone who is in a position to shoot.
