The National League have at last woken up and insisted Taunton Town play all their remaining home matches at alternative venues if their pitch is likely to be unfit. Tonight’s game v Maidstone is at Gloucester. On their website Taunton have been very critical of the decision saying how they need the home gate money. Don’t think there was any alternative given the lack of attention to their playing surface this season. The club was close to having to change its name to Taunton Town Postponed 😅

Seems like Farnborough may have pulled a fast one, they covered their pitch to make sure v Yeovil was on. Their forum sounds relieved as it avoids fixture congestion for them, knowing we have a midweek game every week between now and the end of the season so we will have to play Tuesday/ Thursday one week unless it is arranged for next week after Easter Monday.
