Not sure why the obsession with another club and its manager as it only becomes relevant when we play against them. Concentrate on what we are achieving rather than another  better resourced club in our league. Bath  may have struggled last season but seem to be really competitive this season and are attracting attendances 2-3 times ours.

These sort of discussions appear every now and then and  other posters say how we are better run than other clubs in financial terms. However Reginald has highlighted that we are solvent due to our "Sugar Daddy"  but surely that means we are also in a risky position.
The nation is facing real economic problems with a potential recession. Maybe our benefactor might  find himself  in a position where he has to reduce or even withdraw his financial backing.

Still alot of players available who will probably be turning up for trials at clubs like Chipppenham.

Not sure that Bath are splashing the cash as they have taken 2 from us and one from Frome and another from Tiverton. Another was a released fringe player from Exeter.  Also they lost 2 players to  Taunton.

The signing of Lines was probably him looking to return to his home area whilst looking to sort out his future career as he is 36. So his pay level might not be too demanding alongside Bath's gates last season despite their performances.
One hopes there is a lot of activity  quietly happening behind the scenes but there is always concern that in the current climate our benefactor's business might suffer and as a result mean him having to reduce any financial  support he provides.

Went to Twerton today with Bath mate but keeping in touch with Havant score.   Bath fans were all for Chipprenham and really behind us but  at the same time frustratedt they were at opposite end of  table to us..
Having said that the game was a real cracker (3-3) in front of a really large crowd.  so makes me wonder what else we can do to get attendances up to 4 figures.

Not sure what to make of all of this.
What we have to remember is that we are playing at the highest level of non-league football.  I say that as the level above is basically an extension of the football league. Even at NLS level we are playing against several versions of full-time clubs so just being competitive is an achievement.
Doubt he will end up at Bath as despite league position their manager is still well regarded as gates are high and he has made a fair amount of money for them  through player transfers.

Unfortunately we only have a handful of games that could be regarded as local and, with the exception of Bath, the stats show  those clubs do not have a large fanbase.so limited opportunity to boost our average.
What is interesting is that Bath who face the same geographic situation as us have an average of 1200- perhaps a relegation  battle attracts more interest than playing for the lower play-off spots.

Disappointing but not end of the world. I was with Bath contact and surrounded by their fans (all good natured). Their fans were frustrated at the length of time we were taking over goalkicks etc and slowing game down. Actually the tactic seemed to work as Bath seemed to be losing momentum until the events in the last few minutes before half-time.
In the 2nd half Bath were in control and saw out the game quite comfortably. Bath fans believe their side is a lot better than their league position shows but accept  too often they have failed to turn pressure into goals. Unfortunately against us that problem  was not apparent.
Still feel we are punching above our weight so no need to feel too despondent. Results  overall  have shown we can compete in this league and every side need to plan for a competive game when the play us.

Unable to go so can't comment on the game but result would indicate we put in a real performance.
A draw at Bath would mean a decent return for the Xmas period.  As others have said 4-1 flattered Bath although that view is probably influenced by our 2nd half performance. Apart from their goal Bath also hit the bar and missed a gilt edged chance  in the first half so we were fortunate, perhaps, to go in only 1-0 down.
Anyway after today provided we can perform over 90minutes  we can go to Twerton with real optimism. Nice to think their manager saw the real Chippenham Town

Seen  the highlights on the Bath website. Naturally commentary is Bath biased but seems to show all the relevant incidents.
I thought   we should have had a penalty for handball but it does seem the arm was down by the side. Could well have been given one later in the game.  I also thought the Bath penalty was soft but it certainly appears there was contact with the forward.
