For those who remember Rene Regis I’ve just heard the very sad news that he passed away today after a battle with cancer.  I have no other details as yet.

He was a lovely fella, and put in some great performances for us.  I particularly remember a game at Kings Lynn when he was unstoppable, charging up the right side from full back.  Sad times.

So sad, thoughts go out to friends and family. I hope the club acknowledge this at our next home game.

So sad to hear this.

Rene was a fine fellow and was one of my favourites from that team. Thought he was very under rated.

Rene was indeed a soldier based at Buckley Barracks. He came to Steve Whites attention and we had to seek approval from the Army FA in order to sign him. Unbelievably, the Army were not aware of his footballing skills but were more than happy for us to sign him! We were sure someone within their football structure was in for a hard time since he should have been playing in Army representative sides.
He was a true gentlemen and our thoughts go out to his family.

Very sad indeed, given that Dulwich are one of his former clubs and we play them next home game, seems only fitting to mark his passing.

Sad news indeed as I remember him well. Seem to remember that he had represented his country at football and that he moved to Salisbury when he left us?
