Goal-keeping Coach

A couple of rumours are flying around that James Bittner has returned to the club as goal-keeping coach, and that he will be on the bench next season as reserve ‘keeper. If true, this would be an excellent move by the club.

(Doesn’t he run a goal-keeping academy at Stanley Park?)

Re: Goal-keeping Coach

This was in the last programme notes when we played Newport, old news.

Re: Goal-keeping Coach

James has just secured the job of goalkeeping coach to Reading U23's.  Not sure if any of the above is true.

Fair enough, but for those of us who were not at the Newport game, this is not old news!

Re: Goal-keeping Coach

Calm down, calm down. Until it is officially announced by the club it is nothing more than a rumour.

Who produces the programme then if not the club? 🤔🤔

Exactly. But if it is official, then why not also use the club website to inform those fans who were not at the Newport game and were therefore unable to read the programme notes?

Only asking!

Re: Goal-keeping Coach

Well that has created a bit of banter, site very quiet, nothing commented about Melksham or Cirencester game, which was a 3-0 and 2-2 respectively. Went to the Melksham game which was a good first half and poor second half, did not bother with Ciren game as a few triallists were fielded.  How many teams can James Bittner coach the keepers, as he appears to have many fingers in the pies. Is he still with Newport, Chipp, Forest Green and Reading U23. Good if some one could let us all know the true facts!!

Re: Goal-keeping Coach

After reading Mark's comments on the Cirencester game on the G&H site , he mentions the Bittner is helping coach Will on a part time basis while also coaching Reading under 23's.
