Two trips to Torquay?

According to reports Truro City have to quit their ground by 31st July in order to fulfil an agreement with their property developers. If that proves to be the case they are going to have to groundshare with Torquay as there is no suitable alternative stadium in  Cornwall. So our away trip to Truro might now well be to Torquay

I hope so Charlie. It’s a much nicer place to go. 😎

Re: Two trips to Torquay?

That's a long trip for their home supporters, according to Google maps it's either 105 or 85 miles depending on which way you go to Torquay. Either way you would have to be a really dedicated supported with deep pockets to make that trip every other week and I thought that Gloucester fans had it bad with a 50 mile round trip to Evesham.

Re: Two trips to Torquay?

This is going to cost them not only in revenue but in support on the terraces. It would be like us playing our home games in London. How much home home support would we get ?

Re: Two trips to Torquay?

Some Billericay fans are not happy as they play Truro first up and they’ve already booked b&b in Cornwall and bought train tickets. Some fans claiming the National League knew of this arrangement well in advance as none of Truro and Torquay’s fixtures allegedly clash.

All hypothetical of course, but if our progression required a complete revamp of HP or a new ground altogether, just how far would CTFC fans be prepared to travel to our 'home' games until the work was finished? Bath City, Swindon Town, Forest Green, Salisbury, Cheltenham, Hereford or even further afield.
