Chippenham Town FC are very pleased to announce the appointment of Alyn Owens as club chaplain.

Born in South Wales and educated at schools in Leicester, Reverend Owens attended Bristol University before being ordained at St Helens in Lancashire, and has held a life long interest in sport.

As a teenager he supported Leicester City, whilst before his retirement in 2003 he held a season ticket for Watford, and since moving to Wiltshire has regularly supported the Bluebirds.

Reverend Owens will be available to all staff, players and supporters should they wish to discuuss concerns over any issues.

He is now looking forward to the new season with Chippenham.

Chippenham Town vice-chairman Neil Blackmore stated, “We are very pleased to have Reverend Owens on board as part of our commitment to the community.â€
