Blazers do it again

The esteemed Public School Blazers who control football have exceded themselves again. In the midst of a financial meltdown don't bother if you suopport Oxford City:

Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division play-off winners Oxford City have been placed in Blue Square Bet North next season - a move which will hit the club hard in the pocket.

City, who won promotion from the Southern League Premier Division, were hoping to get a place in the Blue Square Bet South.

But Kettering's resignation from the league yesterday saw Maidenhead given a reprieve - meaning City were pushed into the northern section.

It will mean they will face trips to the likes of Chester, Halifax, Harrogate and Workington - the latter a 550-mile round trip.

At this rate we are better off not getting promotion because whose to say they wouldn't stick us up north
